BA/BS.INTA.TC6G - Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Science in Core Subjects Early Childhood-Grade 6 Teacher Certification (Interdisciplinary Academic Major)

Students planning to be certified to teach early childhood through grade 6 (EC-6) will secure an interdisciplinary academic major and meet the appropriate general studies requirements. To be eligible for Texas certification, students will follow the State Board for Educator Certification (SBEC) Core Subjects EC-6 standards. Students follow a course of study which includes the following components: (1) General Studies, (2) Professional Responsibility, and (3) an Interdisciplinary Academic Major which includes 42 upper-level credit hours. Students must be admitted into the Educator Preparation Program according to the policies set by the College of Education.
