Critical Thinking, Research and Writing

Description

This course focuses on the process of crafting and writing an argument. The process begins with critical thinking and analysis, and then focuses on researching a position and then communicating that position through clear and concise academic writing. Students will learn how to evaluate sources, how to analyze and judge evidence, how to create an arguement map, and how to cite using APA formatting. The course is intended to provide students with a sound foundation in research and writing skills in prepartation for subsequent course requirements.
