Description

A pastoral counseling study focusing on helping individuals, families, and communities deal with spiritual, emotional, and marital issues within the church or para-church context. The course will benefit both ministers and lay per persons seeking to develop practical skills in counseling people undergoing different life crises. Life concerns and crises studied will include grief, suicidal ideation, anxiety, chemical dependency, trauman following various tragedies, depression, marital problems and life transition issues. The approach takes into consideration gender, cultural, and social issues that influence pastoral counseling. Offered periodically.
