Elementary Language Arts

A study of listening, speaking, reading and writ- ing instruction in the elementary school. A devel- opmental approach is stressed. The state basic skills for language arts are studied and empha- sized. Special emphasis is given to means of assisting disadvantaged children to be successful. Observation in a school ethnically different from the student is required.
