Significance Theory Research

This course explores the role of mental models and paradigmic dissonance as related to leadership failures or success. This course includes analysis of current writings on change, management mental models, and competitive systems. Special emphasis will be placed on how leaders use flawed mental models and the resulting impact of such thinking on organizational success. Conversely, a study will be made of successful organizations to determine if there is any difference between the mental models used by successful leaders vs. unsuccessful leaders.
