This course offers an in-depth investigation on the topic of leadership and power specifically through an examination of the lives of our Founding Fathers. Students will become familiar with the historic and philosophic underpinnings of the leadership styles demonstrated through the lives of our Founding Fathers. Concepts of power will be explored and students will be challenged to gain insights from leaders that shaped the United States of America. The course is designed as an intensive travel experience in Washington, DC and surrounding key historic sites to be visited during the one-week course. This 5000-level course is cross-listed with a 4000-level course and includes specific graduate course requirements which reflect appropriate deeper learning experiences and rigor in the higher-level course.
