The Urban Church in Transtion

This course is designed to help the student understand the dynamics of contemporary urban ministry challenges within a traditional urban church. Students will be exposed to various transition models that have proven successful in leading traditional churches in urban settings to find their place within a contemporary urban environment. Students will become familiar with models of transition, assessment of congregational transition in urban communities, and consider spiritual and community strategies to restore health to urban congregations. Fall. Prerequisite: None.
