Found/Policy Analysis/Public Involmnt II

The purpose of this unit is to understand the the- ological and cutltural context for the American Studies Program (ASP) while learning some of the basic tools of public policy analysis and Chris- tian involvement in public affairs. Interacting with themes from the lectures and the readings, second half of the unit focuses on bringing toget- her the major ideas and issues of the semester. A major concern is how the responsiblility for knowledge relates to living faithfully as Chris- tians in our society. The unit will span the se- mester--setting forth principal themes for two weeks at the beginning, and weaving them together in light of the semester's study for two weeks at the end.
