Description
Changed to COSC 2306 FALL 2014 Design and analysis of algorithms with an empha- sis on data structures. Basic concepts; identi- fying differences among best, average, and worst case behaviors; algorithmic strategies (brute-force, greedy, divide-and-conquer, backtracking); fundamental computing algorithms (searching, sorting, hash tables, binary search trees); basic comptability (finite-state mac- hines, context-free grammars, the halting problem). Spring Prerequisites: COSC 1408 Lab: COSC 24L6, 2 hours
