Biochemistry

This course will be a study of cellular chemistry: including presentation of cellular carbohydrate, nucleic acid, protein, and lipid metabolism, and of cellular membrane composition and function, and of enzymes and their kinetics. The flow of genet- ic information through the process of DNA replica- tion, transcription, and translation will be pre- sented. The techniques of isolation, purification and identification of lipids, carbohydrates, and proteins will be covered.
